    Researchers at the Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence in Abu Dhabi have developed an AI tool that can closely copy a person's handwriting. The model needs just a few paragraphs of writing to be trained, and people cannot distinguish the mimicked handwriting from the actual handwriting. The tool is primarily focused on mimicking English writing and is not yet available to the public. The researchers were granted a patent for the tool and acknowledged the potential for forgery and other nefarious uses.

    OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman said in an exclusive interview with Axios that the company's next big model, likely to be called GPT-5, "will be able to do a lot, lot more" than the existing models can. Altman believes that future AI products will need to allow "quite a lot of individual customization" and "that's going to make a lot of people uncomfortable," because AI will give different answers for different users, based on their values and preferences and possibly on what country they reside in.
